Denver, January 21, 2014—River, a leading enterprise social learning and knowledge sharing software from Triple Creek, was recently honored with a gold Brandon Hall Excellence in Technology Award in the area of Best Advance in Social Learning Technology. This is the third consecutive year Triple Creek has won a Brandon Hall Excellence award.
Presented by Brandon Hall Group, an independent research and advisory firm specializing in learning and development and talent management, River stood apart from the competition because of the product’s innovation and unique differentiators, such as the patent-pending matching algorithm that pulls people together into targeted learning engagements that focus on specific learning objectives.
“River is really a special product because it takes all the elements of social interactions and wraps them into a learning structure that leverages a company’s competency model and the experiences of their employees. The participants have very intentional and focused conversations that help them attain a specific learning goal or do their jobs better. This was clearly shown in the award application through client examples and the results they have achieved,” said Mike Cooke, CEO of Brandon Hall Group.
For example, a Fortune 500 technology company saw a 7% increase in retention factors among participants of River as compared to the general employee population, and a 10% increase in job satisfaction among River participants. A Fortune 500 engineering and construction firm deployed River to overcome siloed knowledge within the company; the results proved very powerful with 17 people connecting per learning engagement on average, and 76% of engagements having multiple business groups represented.
“The multitude of ways that our clients use River really speaks to its versatility. This is a platform that can morph and fit any organizational need. As usage grows, we are seeing more and more interesting and operational applications for River, from using it to support formal training efforts to leveraging it as a way for a company’s line employees to learn from one another. There are no limits to what people can share and learn from one another within River,” said Randy Emelo, president and CEO of Triple Creek, creators of River.
River is used by companies across all industry segments. Clients include AT&T, Bayer Corp., CVS Caremark, Fannie Mae, Goodyear, HD Supply, Humana, McDonalds’s, National Park Service, and U.S. Bank.
